Here at Altagram we strongly believe, that a business is only as good as its employees. That's why with this series of posts, we wanted to turn attention to the people that drive our company, our Altamates<\/em>. This week we're continuing with Ingrid, who will talk to us abut her life as a QA Test Lead at Altagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life as a QA Test Lead is not always an easy one. Meticulously and relentlessly checking every part of a game for localization errors, there is a lot of pressure on the backs of QA Testers and especially their Team Leaders. Their work directly contributes to the success, or failure of a launch. A real cultural understanding and an eagle's eye is needed in order to succeed in this role. Luckily, our QA Test Lead Ingrid, has a strong sense for details.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the best part of your job?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"To see the success of our team being reflected in amazing games<\/strong> in the market.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite pastime at the office?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"I have absolutely no time for pastime activities. But I can say that chatting in the kitchen while grabbing coffee is a pleasurable moment.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your personal work style?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"I am definitely a morning person<\/strong> and like to have the evening open for enjoying myself and getting things done around the house. Lately I\u2019ve been more inclined to WFH<\/strong>, but I still work in a hybrid style<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How have you personally improved working through Altagram?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"I\u2019ve learned a great number of skills<\/strong>, experienced many problems where I had to come up with a solution, and gained knowledge of the industry<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you feel about the company's culture?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"I like the flexibility<\/strong>, the values and the people<\/strong>. Everyone seems to try their best to help and get things done with high quality.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What motivates you to work at Altagram?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"A possibility of a career growth in the gaming industry, and the chance to work with many great game companies.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"I would be one of my characters in World of Warcraft, a Frost Spell Mage, that looks nice and is very powerful. Her name is Myrtes.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has any game ever left an influence on you after you stopped playing?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"Playing games helped me develop strategy skills<\/strong>, it opened up many areas of my brain to different points of view and changed my way of thinking in many aspects of life<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your favorite quote from a video game?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\"I like this very funny quote from Skyrim, said by NPCs in cities where there are guards everywhere: \u201cI used to be an adventurer like you\u2026 then I took an arrow to the knee.\u201d It would be a very common thing to happen to people in that game reality, since bow and arrows are very common weapons. Although, \u201ctaking an arrow to the knee\u201d has a different meaning in some cultures, and it means that they got married. Just thought it was very clever. \"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
